Italian Serie A side Venezia FC have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Akor Adams from Sevilla FC.
The 25-year-old forward joins the newly promoted side in a deal worth around €17 million plus bonuses, making him the most expensive signing in Venezia’s history.
Adams has signed a long-term contract, with reports indicating a deal running until 2030, as Venezia strengthen their squad ahead of their return to Italy’s top flight.
The Benue State-born striker enjoyed a solid spell in Spain, scoring 10 league goals last season and playing a key role in Sevilla’s fight to avoid relegation.
Standing at 1.90m, Adams is known for his physical presence, pace, and ability to lead the line, qualities Venezia are banking on as they aim to remain competitive in Serie A.
Speaking after the move, Venezia head coach Giovanni Stroppa described the striker as “an important profile who will give us a big hand.”
Adams is now expected to spearhead Venezia’s attack as the club targets survival and stability in the upcoming Serie A season.
