The Super Falcons' preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) received a major boost on Tuesday with the arrival of key players Esther Okoronkwo, Michelle Alozie and Uchenna Kanu at the team's training camp in Casablanca.
The trio's arrival increased the number of players in camp to 19 as head coach Justine Madugu continues preparations for the continental tournament, which begins later this week.
Six more invited players are expected to join the squad before full training gets underway.
According to reports, the three players linked up with teammates already in camp at the team's base after completing club commitments and travel arrangements.
Their arrival gives Madugu more options as Nigeria targets a record-extending 11th WAFCON title.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has expressed confidence in the squad's readiness, with the coaching crew expected to intensify tactical sessions once the remaining players arrive.

The Super Falcons have been drawn among the favourites for the tournament because of their rich history in African women's football and the experience within the squad.
Regulars such as captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and midfielder Christy Ucheibe are already in camp as preparations gather pace.
Nigeria will use the remaining days before the competition to fine-tune tactics and improve match fitness as the team seeks to reclaim the continental crown.
The Super Falcons remain Africa's most successful women's national team and will be aiming to add another WAFCON trophy to their record when the tournament kicks off.
