NNPC boss summoned by Senate
The Senate has summoned the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mele Kyari to appear before it on Thursday to brief the lawmakers on the controversial Petroleum Industry Bill.
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan speaking during plenary on Wednesday explained that the NNPC boss will address lawmakers in a closed-door session on the details of the Bill before the consideration of the report on Thursday.
You will recall that leadership of the National Assembly pledged to pass the bill before the end of the year.
