Gunman Opens Fire in Krakow Market Square, Leaving People Dead and Injured

A shooting in the Main Square of Poland’s second-largest city, Krakow, has left people dead and others injured, authorities say.

The city government confirmed the shooting in a post on X on Saturday, while a spokesperson for local firefighters told Polsat News that the gunman fired from a moving vehicle.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk says police are investigating the attack, but authorities have yet to release further details about the victims or the suspected shooter.

Krakow is about 250 kilometres from the Polish capital, Warsaw.
