The transition to a cashless economy is still spurring reactions for Nigerians as some lament challenges navigating alternative financial transaction mediums, such as online banking and Point of Sales, POS.
Sharing their experiences on Nigeria Info’s Hello Port Harcourt, one caller says the new cashless policy is not working. He said making online transfers is hard, while POS operators are undeserving.
Another caller explained how difficulty in accessing cash is affecting his Valentine's Day celebration.
‘How do you enjoy valentine's when you can’t access money to spend’ he said, describing the naira scarcity situation as ‘’terrible’’.
He appealed to the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN and the government to ameliorate the sufferings of Nigerians.
