The African Music Awards (AFRIMA) has officially unveiled the nominees list for its 2025 edition, with Nigerian superstars Burna Boy and Davido leading the pack alongside Morocco's El Grande Toto and South Africa's DJ Maphorisa.

Each artist received five nominations, setting the stage for a fierce competition.

The announcement, made by the International Committee of AFRIMA in partnership with the African Union Commission, follows a record-breaking 10,717 submissions, the highest in the awards' 12-year history.

A 13-member jury spent 10 days shortlisting 343 nominees across 40 categories, representing all five African regions and the diaspora.
