The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its six-month-old strike.
Nigeria Info understands the decision was taken on Monday during the union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting at the University of Abuja.
ASUU, which goes on strike nearly every year, started its current action on February 14
The union is seeking improved welfare for lecturers, better funding for public universities, academic autonomy, and the payment of owed arrears.
