
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has emphasized the vital role of record keeping and data management in improving the Nigerian Army’s operational efficiency.
Speaking at the opening of the 2025 Army Headquarters Data Management and Record Keeping Seminar in Abuja, Oluyede, represented by Major General Philip Eromosele, said accurate data is crucial to “monitor progress, identify gaps, and address emerging security challenges.”
He stressed the need to adopt high standards in data storage and document security to drive efficiency across the force.
Reaffirming the Army’s commitment to national security, Oluyede pledged “unflinching loyalty to the Constitution and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
Earlier, the Military Secretary (Army), Major General Everest Okoro, said the three-day seminar seeks to align the Army’s practices with global standards, praising the COAS for “exceptional leadership and visionary guidance.”
