The Chairman, Senate Committee on Army Senator Ali Ndume, has charged the security agencies to be ruthless with bandits terrorizing the country.
Ndume, who represents Borno South in the Senate, made the declaration on Thursday while speaking with journalists at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
The Borno lawmaker condemned various attacks on the Nigerian Military noting that bandits becoming daring.
He, however, urged the security operatives not to relent, but re-double their efforts in fighting the bandits until they are completely degraded and rendered permanently ineffective.
Bandits have been on the rampage in states like Niger, Katsina, Zamfara and some Northern parts of Nigeria recently.
