The Lagos State Government says road repair work on the Eti-Osa/Lekki–Epe Expressway will begin from Ajah, identified as the worst section of the road.

The Special Adviser to Governor  Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Infrastructure, Engr. Olufemi Daramola, said on Nigeria Info that the rehabilitation will last six months.

He appealed to residents to be patient, assuring that work will continue both day and night to speed up completion.

Daramola also said the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will provide 24-hour traffic control throughout the construction period.

To ease congestion, he revealed that talks are ongoing with the Federal Government to temporarily open the Coastal Road as an alternative route.

He added that the project is part of a broader plan, noting that the Green Line rail will eventually serve the area as a long-term solution.
