Balmoral Group Promotions and Amir Khan Promotions will stage “Chaos in the Ring 4” on May 1, 2026, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, as part of efforts to position African boxing on the global stage.

Organizers say the event will combine professional boxing and entertainment to expand visibility for African fighters and attract international audiences.

Balmoral Group CEO Ezekiel Adamu said the series is focused on building structure and consistency in African boxing.

“What we’re building in Nigeria goes beyond sports and entertainment,” Adamu said. “Africa has never lacked talent; what we’ve lacked is a consistent, structured platform. Once we give our stars visibility and a system, we’re not stopping again.”

He said the promotion has already hosted international fighters, including world champions and title contenders, to raise competitive standards.

“We’ve brought top fighters here to keep elevating the game,” he said. “For us, it’s not about perfection, it’s about momentum.”

Adamu added that celebrity bouts are being introduced to broaden audience appeal and grow the sport’s commercial reach.

“Within two months, we’ve recorded over 100 million views across platforms,” he said. “We’ve also secured MTN as a distribution partner, with betting integration and pay-per-view to build a strong entertainment engine.”

The Lagos edition will feature a light heavyweight clash between Ezra Arenyeka and Godday Appah, alongside a celebrity bout between Carter Efe and Portable.

Officials from the Nigerian National Sports Commission, including Director General Bukola Olopade, and Nigerian Boxing Board of Control President Dr. Rafiu Ladipo attended the pre-fight press conference, alongside other sports stakeholders and international guests.

Organizers say the event is designed to strengthen boxing’s commercial appeal while showcasing African talent to a global audience.
