Vice President Kashim Shettima has inaugurated the first-ever Nigeria House at the 2026 World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland, a sovereign pavilion established by the federal government to centralise Nigeria’s investment narrative and engage global investors.

The facility was created through a public-private partnership and will serve as a hub for ministerial engagements, investment roundtables and cultural diplomacy during the forum.

Shettima described the opening of Nigeria House as a historic milestone that reflects Nigeria’s renewed readiness to engage with the global economy and attract foreign investment.

He said the pavilion will bring together government, business leaders, and international partners to showcase opportunities and deepen strategic partnerships.

Upon arrival in Davos, the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, told journalists that Nigeria would use the event to present investment opportunities and economic reforms to the global business community.

Oduwole said Nigeria would showcase four investment “playbooks” outlining President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to re-engineer the economy, focusing on the solid minerals sector, climate-sustainable agriculture, the creative industry, and the digital economy.

She said the presentations would highlight key sectors with high growth potential to investors from around the world.

The World Economic Forum 2026 runs from January 19 to 23, with Nigeria’s delegation also expected to participate in high-level discussions and bilateral engagements aimed at attracting investment aligned with the country’s broader reform agenda.
