Nigeria's ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Nora Ladi Daduut, formally presented her Letters of Credence to South Korean President Lee Jae-myung at a ceremony in Seoul on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Daduut used the audience to relay greetings from President Bola Tinubu and to reaffirm Nigeria's commitment to its long-running partnership with Seoul.
She also marked the first anniversary of Lee's presidency and pointed to more than 45 years of cordial relations between the two countries.
Daduut praised South Korea's economic development, calling it one of Asia's leading economies and a partner whose expertise Nigeria hopes to draw on for its own development goals.
She extended an invitation for Lee to make a State Visit to Nigeria at a date convenient to both sides, saying such a trip would help deepen bilateral cooperation.
In response, Lee welcomed the ambassador and asked her to pass on his greetings to Tinubu and Nigerians.
He said South Korea remained committed to deepening ties with Nigeria as one of its key economic partners in Africa, pointing to shared goals around growth and sustainable development.
