NNPC Ltd. Appoints New Communications and Relations Chiefs

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has announced the appointment of two senior executives to strengthen its corporate communication and stakeholder engagement.

In a statement on Tuesday, September 2, the company confirmed that Mr. Andy Odeh has been named Chief Corporate Communications Officer, while Mrs. Morenike Adewunmi will serve as Chief Relations Officer.

Mr. Odeh, a seasoned communicator with over 30 years of experience spanning oil and gas, advertising, and broadcasting, previously worked at Nigeria LNG, where he led several departments, including Corporate Communications and External Relations.

“I am honoured to take on this responsibility at such a crucial time for NNPC. I look forward to building on the company’s strong reputation and deepening its engagement with Nigerians and stakeholders,” Odeh said.

Mrs. Adewunmi, a lawyer with more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, joins from Shell Companies in Nigeria, where she managed regulatory and government relations.

She said: “NNPC plays a vital role in Nigeria’s energy sector. My focus will be on fostering trust, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the company continues to operate with credibility and compliance.”

According to NNPC, the appointments reflect its commitment to enhancing transparency, communication, and relations with stakeholders.
