The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has launched the Zonal General Aptitude Test for the 2025 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46 recruitment, with over 20,000 applicants competing nationwide.

The exercise is taking place at 15 zonal centres across the country, including Sokoto, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Maiduguri, Yola, Makurdi, Jos, Ilorin, Ipetu-Ijesa, Enugu, Benin, Port Harcourt, and Ikeja.

This broad geographic spread demonstrates the NAF’s commitment to inclusiveness, transparency, and meritocracy, allowing qualified Nigerians from all regions a fair chance to join the Air Force.

Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, emphasized the importance of integrity and merit in the recruitment process.

“The Nigerian Air Force remains firmly committed to recruiting the best candidates by merit, as the quality of our personnel is fundamental to operational effectiveness and the successful execution of our constitutional mandate,” he said.

Air Marshal Aneke described the aptitude test as a vital step in building a motivated, mission-ready force capable of supporting Nigeria’s internal security operations and safeguarding citizens’ lives and property.

The large turnout reflects growing confidence among Nigerian youths in the Air Force as a disciplined and professional institution dedicated to national defence.
