French champions Paris Saint-Germain have retained their Champions League title after defeating Arsenal in a pulsating final in Budapest.

Paris Saint-Germain were held to a 1–1 draw by Arsenal after 120 minutes of tightly contested action.

Kai Havertz gave Arsenal the lead in the first half, finishing off a quick counter-attack to put the Premier League side ahead.

PSG responded in the second half through Ousmane Dembele, who converted from the penalty spot after Cristhian Mosquera fouled Khvicha Kvaratskhelia inside the penalty area, to level the score and send the game into extra time.

Both sides created chances in extra time but were unable to find a winner, forcing the match into a penalty shootout.

PSG held their nerve from the spot, winning 4–3 on penalties to secure their second consecutive Champions League title.

The victory marks a historic moment for the French champions, who have now successfully defended the trophy and reinforced their position among Europe’s elite clubs.

For Arsenal, the defeat ends their hopes of a first Champions League title, despite a resilient performance in the final.
