Mohamed Salah scored a stoppage-time penalty to hand Liverpool a dramatic 1-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday, keeping Arne Slot's side perfect with four wins from their opening four Premier League matches.

The breakthrough came in the 95th minute after Burnley’s Hannibal Mejbri was penalised for handling a cross inside the box. Salah stepped up with composure to convert from the spot and secure all three points for the visitors.

The strike was historic, moving Salah into fourth place on the Premier League’s all-time top scorers list. His 188th league goal took him above former Manchester United forward Andy Cole, who finished his career with 187.

The Egyptian forward now sits only behind Alan Shearer, Harry Kane, and Wayne Rooney in the competition’s scoring charts, underlining his status as one of the greatest players in Premier League history.

The victory puts Liverpool top of the Premier League table after another strong performance, while Burnley continue to search for consistency following a narrow home defeat.
