Omoyele Sowore has emerged as the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) through a consensus arrangement.

Sowore was nominated during the party’s presidential primary election held in Abuja, where the AAC unveiled a four-point economic agenda focused on youth empowerment, women’s inclusion, environmental sustainability and aquatic resource development.

The party said its proposed “Orange and Yellow Economy” would invest in entertainment, technology, sports, arts and culture to create jobs and wealth for young Nigerians.

It also introduced the “Purple and Pink Economy,” aimed at expanding women’s access to finance, education, healthcare, land ownership and entrepreneurship opportunities.

According to the AAC, the “Blue Economy” would focus on developing Nigeria’s waterways and aquatic resources for transportation, fishing, agriculture, clean energy and industrial growth, especially in the Niger Delta and other coastal communities.

The party added that its “Green Economy” plan seeks to promote renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and climate-conscious industrialisation.

The AAC said the agenda represents a shift away from what it described as a “failed Black Economy” driven by corruption, environmental destruction and exploitation.
