President Bola Tinubu has described Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as “a rare gem in history,” and celebrated his resilience through political and personal trials.

The accolade was given on Friday at Ladoja's coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

President Tinubu praised the monarch’s journey from Senate battles to impeachment struggles and prayed that “this God-given happiness will not become a source of sadness.”

Later in the day, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde formally presented Ladoja with the staff and certificate of office at Mapo Hall, signaling official recognition of his ascension to the Olubadan throne.

The presentation took place at 3:05 p.m. in a ceremony attended by state and traditional dignitaries, reinforcing the symbolic and political weight of the event.
