President Bola Tinubu has ordered the recall of Salihu Dembos as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), reversing a recent reshuffle in the agency's management.

The directive, announced by the president's spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday in Abuja, marks a significant change in leadership at the state-owned television network.

Dembos, who was originally appointed by President Tinubu in October 2023, will now return to complete his three-year tenure.

This move overrides the recent appointment of Mr. Rotimi Pedro, who had been announced as the new NTA Director-General.

In a similar directive, the president also ordered the recall of Ayo Adewuyi, the Executive Director of News, to complete his three-year term, which is set to end in 2027. Adewuyi was appointed in 2024.

The reversal affects all of the recent management changes, including the appointments of new Executive Directors for News and Marketing, as well as the Managing Director of NTA Enterprises.

This decision effectively reinstates the management team that was in place before the recent announcements, with Dembos and Adewuyi returning to their roles.
