President Bola Tinubu on Sunday visited the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, at the historic Iga Idunganran Palace, in a visit that drew large crowds of Lagosians to the Marina and Isale Eko areas.

Supporters, All Progressives Congress members and well-wishers lined the streets as the president’s motorcade made its way to the palace, with traditional drumming, praise singers and cultural displays adding colour to the reception.

At the palace, Oba Akiolu offered prayers and counsel for Tinubu’s administration and the country.

Tinubu was accompanied by Lagos State Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other political figures, including APC governorship candidate in Ogun State, Adeola Olamilekan, as well as party stalwarts and members of the Lagos State City Boy chapter.

The visit brought together the presidency and Lagos’ traditional institution at Iga Idunganran, the official residence of the Oba of Lagos.
