Goodluck Jonathan

News broke Monday evening that a coalition of Northern groups purchased the Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for former President Goodluck Jonathan to run for president under the All Progressive Congress (APC).

President Jonathan’s media adviser, Ikechukwu Eze reacted to this by saying the former president considers the action ‘’an insult’’.

He released a statement noting that Dr. Jonathan was unaware of the purchase of the forms and did not authorise it.

And just like his media adviser, Dr. Jonathan’s one-time aide, Reno Omokri tweeted that his former principal had nothing to do with the ‘’reported’’ purchase of the forms.

On the other hand, journalist, David Hundeyin is of the opinion that the former president doesn’t have any unfinished business in the presidency.

He noted that Dr. Jonathan conceded defeat without getting people killed and urged him not to ‘’stain that legacy.’’
