U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that Iran could face more intense military action if it fails to reach an agreement aimed at ending ongoing hostilities between both sides.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the current campaign against Iran could come to an end if a deal is accepted, but cautioned that if talks collapse, the response would involve “higher level and intensity” bombing operations.

He also suggested that progress had been made toward a possible framework agreement with Tehran.

His comments follow reports that Washington and Tehran are working toward a preliminary understanding that could pave the way for broader nuclear negotiations and an eventual ceasefire arrangement.

Trump also said a brief pause in U.S. military operations had been approved to allow diplomatic efforts to continue, while maintaining pressure measures such as restrictions linked to Iran’s ports and maritime activities.

The latest statement adds to a series of shifting positions as international efforts continue to reduce tensions in the region and prevent further escalation of the conflict.
