The Lagos State Police Command has uncovered a suspected high-tech indoor cannabis farm in Apapa and arrested two men, including a 49-year-old Polish national, in connection with the operation.
Police said the facility was discovered on Nov. 2, 2026, at about 8:15 a.m., following intelligence received by operatives of the command.
A statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, identified the suspects as Thomas Razvickas, 49, a Polish national, and James Chisome, 36, a Nigerian. Both men reportedly reside at the property where the facility was discovered.
The police said a search of the premises uncovered a sophisticated indoor farming operation equipped for the cultivation, harvesting and processing of substances suspected to be cannabis.
The two suspects are currently in police custody and have reportedly made confessional statements while assisting investigators with further information.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Tijani Fatai, visited the scene to inspect the facility and receive updates on the investigation.
Fatai commended the officers for their intelligence-led operation and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to tackling drug-related crimes and dismantling criminal networks across the state.
He also urged residents to provide credible information to the police, assuring them that the command would remain proactive in combating criminal activities.
