Reactions continue to trail the recent crash of the  National Identity Management Commission(NIMC) portal.

This time, callers who spoke on Nigeria Info's Hard Facts shared several difficulties they faced accessing the portal.

A technical glitch affected the National Identity Number verification portal of the National Identity Management Commission on Tuesday last week. An incident NIMC claims is linked to the maintenance of its website.

However, the incident which is yet to be resolved has affected telecom firms, the Nigerian Immigration Service, banks, and other organisations who require the National Identity Number of their customers before attending to them.

A crosssection of callers also claims they were asked by some service providers to have their National Identity Number(NIN) validated at the cost of 5,000 Naira.

Others recount the difficulty they face trying to retrieve their lost Subscriber Identity Module cards or acquire new lines.
