Callers on Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire expressed varied opinions about their confidence in the federal government’s ability to address the current economic challenges in the country.

This is as some residents of Kano and Niger States protested the rising cost of living.

Describing how they have been impacted by the current economic realities, one caller expressed weariness in granting the government more time to tackle the nation's economic challenges.

Another caller conveyed a lack of confidence in the federal government's ability to address the ongoing economic challenges in the country.

However, the next caller decides to stake Nigeria's economic recovery to the outcome of the Super Eagles' AFCON games against South Africa, saying, “If Nigeria wins South Africa today, I will know that things will get better…” as he too lamented the high cost of living in the country.

Meanwhile, the last caller links his confidence in the government's capacity to reduce the cost of living to the government's ability to address the insecurity challenge in the country and the high cost of fuel.
