The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Public Affairs, Ajuri Ngelale says it is misinformation and falsehood to say terrorists still control parts of Northern Nigeria.
Ngelale made the comment on Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire while reviewing the scorecard of the Buhari administration and the chances of the All Progressives Congress, APC getting into government again.
According to Ngelale, the Buhari-led administration has made significant progress in its handling of the country’s insecurity challenge as areas formerly occupied by terrorists were reclaimed by the Nigerian army.
“The entire leadership of Boko haram and ISWAP have been decimated” He added.
Ngelale also said ninety percent of Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in the IDP camps have been resettled to their various local governments.
He, however, noted that although media reports about terrorist attacks in the North have also reduced, the administration is not yet at the finishing line of its fight against insecurity.
