Former captain of D'Tigers Ben Uzoh has expressed concerns over the team's chances of winning the Afrobasket Championship
As the dust settles on Team Nigeria's disappointing outing in Basketball at the Tokyo Olympics, expectations remain high as the team participates in the 2021 Afrobasket tournament which kicked off Tuesday in Kigali.
Former captain of the team Ben Uzoh in an exclusive interview on Game On has however expressed concerns over the team's chances of winning the tournament due to the absence of National Basketball Association (NBA) stars in the squad.
While expressing dissatisfaction at the selection process of players for the competition, Uzoh disclosed that head coach Mike Brown and the National Basketball Federation (NBBF) have got questions to answer as regards his retirement amongst others.
He said, "when you retire someone and then ask them to come back to play, it's disrespectful."
