The National Association of Nigerian Students has directed Nigerian students to stage protests in their various states following the extension of the ASUU strike.

Recall that on Monday, ASUU President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, had in a statement said the ongoing strike has been extended by another twelve weeks.

Reacting to this extension, the National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Sunday Asefon, told Enoh Ogbevire on Nigeria Info FM’s Morning Crossfire that the next step for the association is to mobilize students across the country for more protests.

He said: “Starting from today, the Nigerian students… should troop out en mass to begin to shut down the economic activities of the government in their various states.”
