The second visit by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and other political figures to Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has sparked reactions from callers, with questions raised about Wike’s intentions and Rivers APC Chairman Anthony Okocha’s absence from the Rainbow Coalition’s meetings.
One caller alleged that Wike remains at odds with Okocha over his declaration of Fubara as the All Progressives Congress' “001” following the governor’s defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The caller also alleged that Wike influenced Fubara’s suspension during the 2025 state of emergency, describing the governor’s acceptance of reconciliation as embarrassing.
Another caller described the reconciliation as the “highest achievement that Rivers State has gotten,” while a third accused Wike of betraying Okocha.
Other callers suggested Okocha’s absence could be due to other commitments, insisting it did not necessarily mean he had been excluded from the meetings, as he could still be receiving updates on the discussions.
