The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled Saturday, 13 June, for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise for candidates who could not complete the main examination process.

JAMB said the mop-up exam is meant for candidates who were successfully verified during the main UTME but were unable to sit for the examination because of technical problems, biometric issues or other challenges at their centres.

In a statement issued by the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB explained that the exercise “represents the final phase of the annual UTME exercise” and is designed to resolve “all outstanding examination challenges involving candidates who duly presented themselves but encountered difficulties in taking the examination.”

The board said some Computer-Based Test centres experienced technical failures during the examination period, while some candidates could not be verified biometrically despite appearing for the test.

It added that a number of results were also withdrawn because of examination infractions, with affected candidates included in the mop-up process.

JAMB directed eligible candidates to begin printing their Examination Notification Slips from 6th June ahead of the examination date.

Candidates are expected to confirm their centres, examination time and other instructions before the exercise.
