Tinubu Prays for Nigeria’s Prosperity at Dinner With Governors in Saudi Arabia

President Bola Tinubu has prayed for Nigeria’s peace, unity and prosperity, urging citizens to turn the country’s diversity into a source of national strength.

Tinubu made the prayer on Sunday during a dinner he hosted for governors and other members of his delegation in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

“God bless Nigeria and convert our diversity to prosperity as a country,” the president said.

The dinner was attended by Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu.

Other attendees included Attorney-General of the Federation Lateef Fagbemi, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, presidential Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila and BUA Group Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu.

Speaking at the gathering, Rabiu said the delegation had continued to pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity and prosperity since arriving in Makkah.

He also pledged continued support for the president, saying, “Mr President is very passionate about the country.

"He is working very hard, and we will continue to support him.”

AbdulRazaq, speaking on behalf of the governors, also prayed for divine guidance for Tinubu.

“We will pray for you daily.

"Pray for Nigeria that you lead,” he said, asking God to strengthen the president’s wisdom, boldness and courage.

Fagbemi also offered prayers for the president, asking God to answer his personal prayers.

Tinubu travelled to Saudi Arabia on Oct. 29 to perform Umrah, an Islamic pilgrimage to Makkah.

The presidency said the visit would provide an opportunity for spiritual reflection and prayers for Nigeria’s peace, unity, stability and progress.
