President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed Nigeria’s strong ties with the United Kingdom during a state banquet at Windsor Castle.

He described the relationship as one built on shared history, democratic values, and cultural connections.

The President thanked King Charles III and Queen Camilla for their hospitality, noting the significance of being the first Nigerian leader to speak at Windsor Castle.

Tinubu said both countries share a vision of progress and resilience, with a partnership anchored on mutual respect.

He also highlighted Britain’s influence on global democracy, referencing the Magna Carta and key thinkers who shaped governance and the rule of law.

The President pointed to Nigeria’s legal and institutional systems as reflecting elements of British traditions adapted to local realities.

He further praised the Nigerian diaspora in the UK, describing them as a vital bridge contributing to sectors like healthcare, business, and public service.

Tinubu expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future and reaffirmed commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
