The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board says it is fully ready to conduct the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, with over 2.2 million candidates expected nationwide.

The exam will run from April 16 to April 22 across 966 accredited computer-based test centres, the board said in a statement.

JAMB said it concluded preparations after a final logistics review, removing 23 centres that failed to meet standards during the mock exercise.

Candidates have been directed to print their notification slips, which contain exam dates, venues and biometric verification details.

The board urged them to visit their centres ahead of time to avoid delays.

JAMB said it has made special arrangements for candidates with disabilities under its Equal Opportunity Group, chaired by Peter Okebukola.

The board warned against malpractice, stressing a zero-tolerance policy. “Offenders will face strict sanctions in line with existing laws,” it said, adding that enhanced security and technology have been deployed to detect cheating.

Registrar Is-haq Oloyede urged officials to maintain professionalism. “The success of the UTME depends largely on your conduct and commitment,” he said.

Oloyede said 11 technical officers were delisted over poor performance, with further sanctions possible.

He added that outstanding personnel would be rewarded for efficiency.

JAMB also said candidates flagged for verification issues will be rescheduled, reaffirming its commitment to a “credible, transparent and inclusive” examination process.
