The State House Nigeria has defended the absence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu from recent project commissioning events, citing ongoing security concerns.
Presidential spokesperson Sunday Dare said the President is currently in Lagos receiving regular intelligence briefings and monitoring developments.
He explained that Tinubu prioritised national security over public engagements due to recent attacks in Kaduna State, Niger State and Plateau State.
Dare said the government is responding through coordinated military operations, including Operation Hadin Kai and Operation Safe Haven.
He added that security forces have intensified counterinsurgency efforts, with several suspects arrested and prosecuted.
According to him, dozens of top insurgents have been neutralised in recent months, while hundreds of suspects have been apprehended.
Despite ongoing attacks, Dare maintained that government efforts are yielding results and urged Nigerians to remain confident in the administration’s commitment to restoring security.
