Workers of the FCT Administration have staged a procession to the headquarters of the Nigerian Labour Congress following Tuesday morning industrial court ruling that orders them to suspend their strike.

The visibly disappointed workers who expressed dissatisfaction with the court order headed to Labour House to seek solidarity, while vowing to continue with the agitation.

The Nigerian Industrial Court had on Tuesday asked the striking workers to go back to work while negotiations between the FCTA and the leadership of the Union continue.

The President of the Union, Rifkatu Iorter, insisted that the strike was in the interest of the staff of the FCTA.

Meanwhile, normalcy is gradually returning to the FCTA Secretariat as the gates have been opened to workers and visitors. Some workers were seen entering the premises to carry out the official activities, though at skeletal scale.
