The African Democratic Congress says Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be prepared for a tough challenge in the 2027 elections.
In a statement by its spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said the President would be facing millions of Nigerians affected by economic hardship.
The ADC described Tinubu’s recent remarks about the opposition as unpresidential, accusing him of focusing on politics instead of governance.
It said Nigerians are grappling with rising poverty, inflation and insecurity, which it linked to government policies.
The party also rejected claims about its convention, insisting its activities were properly conducted.
It further alleged that the democratic space is shrinking, with increasing restrictions on political participation.
The ADC accused the President of undermining the principle of separation of powers.
It said it remains committed to offering an alternative focused on security, economic stability and democratic governance.
