Ex-APC Spokesman Timi Frank Warns Trump of “Political Genocide” Ahead of 2027

Comrade Timi Frank, former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has petitioned U.S. President Donald Trump, warning of “widespread unrest,” “possible anarchy,” and “political genocide” if alleged plans to manipulate Nigeria’s 2027 elections proceed.

In an open letter dated February 7, 2026, Frank accused Nigeria’s ruling party and National Assembly leadership of plotting to rig the upcoming general elections.

He said lawmakers are undermining key electoral reforms backed by “over 80 percent of Nigerians” aimed at reducing fraud.

“Nigeria’s general elections scheduled for February 2027 are under serious threat,” Frank wrote, cautioning that failure to act could lead to “a breakdown of law and order.”

He also criticized the 2023 presidential election outcome, highlighting that the declared winner secured just 36.61 percent of votes from over 93 million eligible voters, calling it a “serious concern about the credibility of the process.”

Frank urged Trump and the international community to intervene and hold accountable officials seeking to disenfranchise Nigerians ahead of the next polls.

He singled out the Senate President, alleging efforts to silence opposition voices and consolidate power.

As Ambassador for the United Liberation Movement for West Papua to East Africa and the Middle East, Frank also warned that state institutions are being used to entrench partisan control, risking Nigeria’s slide into authoritarianism if reforms are weakened.

The APC has yet to respond to these allegations.
