NNPCL Denies Reports of Increased Petrol Price

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL) has responded to rumours of plans to hike the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol to N1,200 Per litre.

In a statement released on Wednesday and signed by NNPCL’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi O. Soneye, the company said this is not true as that “there are no immediate plans for that.”

They further Nigerians to dismiss unfounded rumours and assured them that there are no impending reviews of the PMS price.

NNPCL said, “Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country”.
