The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has demanded the removal of the General Officer Commanding One Division of the Nigerian Army following an accidental bombing in Tudun Biri, Kaduna State.

The incident occurred during an air strike intended to target terrorists but hit civilians during a religious celebration last Sunday.

The ACF called for the redeployment of army officers in Kaduna to ensure an unbiased investigation. It emphasized the need for an independent panel and urged the defense headquarters to retract statements. The forum demanded full compensation for all victims, extending to those affected in previous incidents.

On Thursday, Vice President Kashim Shettima assured that measures would be taken to prevent future incidents. He visited victims at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, emphasizing the government's commitment to the Fulako Initiative for the North-West.

The initiative aims to rebuild Tudun Biri and includes houses, clinics, schools, veterinary clinics, empowerment initiatives, and solar energy.
