The Peter Obi Media Office has challenged the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to explain what President Bola Tinubu has achieved since winning the 2023 presidential election.

In a statement signed by its spokesman, Idris Zekeri Jnr, the media office urged Alake to focus less on disputing Peter Obi’s claim that he won the election and more on accounting for the administration’s performance.

It questioned the impact of Tinubu’s victory on Nigerians, citing rising living costs, worsening poverty, economic hardship and insecurity.

The statement acknowledged that the courts affirmed the official result of the 2023 presidential election but argued that a legal victory does not necessarily translate into successful governance.

It also asked the administration to account for the economic relief, improved security and prosperity promised to Nigerians, insisting that electoral victories should be measured by their impact on citizens’ lives.

The Obi Media Office added that Nigerians were more concerned about their declining purchasing power and daily struggles than continued political disputes, urging the government to prioritise tangible results over attacks on the opposition.
