President Bola Tinubu has urged young Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate in the January 16, 2027, election.
Tinubu made the call while addressing youth support groups at the State House in Abuja, urging them to mobilise eligible voters across campuses, markets and communities.
“Make sure every young person you know has a PVC and uses it,” the president said, encouraging his supporters to take his administration’s achievements and plans to other young Nigerians.
He also urged the youths to campaign through ideas and constructive engagement as they work to secure support ahead of the election.
Tinubu praised the groups for supporting his administration’s economic reforms, including the removal of the petrol subsidy, which he defended as necessary to prevent the country from going bankrupt.
He rejected calls to reverse the policy, insisting that Nigeria must continue with its reform agenda.
