Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen scored twice as Galatasaray defeated Antalyaspor 4-2 on Saturday to seal a record-extending 26th Turkish Super Lig title.

The Super Eagles star delivered when it mattered most at Rams Park after Galatasaray’s surprise 4-1 loss to Samsunspor last week delayed their title celebrations.

Osimhen had promised supporters that the team would respond strongly at home, and the 27-year-old did exactly that with a decisive brace that helped Galatasaray secure a fourth consecutive league crown.

Following the victory, Osimhen expressed his delight and praised the club’s supporters and senior figures within the squad.

“I’m very happy. We fought hard for this,” Osimhen said after the game. “This club deserves this title.”

The Nigerian striker also reserved special praise for veteran goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, describing him as “one of the few” who helped him settle quickly in Istanbul after joining the club.

Osimhen has enjoyed another outstanding campaign in Turkey, continuing the form that has made him one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards.

His goals against Antalyaspor further strengthened his legendary status among Galatasaray fans.

Galatasaray have now won 26 league titles, more than any other club in Turkey.

The triumph also guarantees direct qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Despite growing transfer speculation linking him with clubs in England and elsewhere in Europe, Osimhen remains focused on finishing the season strongly with the Turkish champions.
