The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says the final phase of the nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will resume on May 11 and run until July 10, 2026.

In a statement on Tuesday, the commission said the exercise follows the suspension of the second phase on April 17 to allow for the clean-up of the voter register after claims and objections.

INEC said eligible citizens who have turned 18, as well as those who missed earlier phases, are expected to register during the period.

The commission also advised registered voters seeking transfer of registration, replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards, or correction of personal details to use its online portal or visit its offices nationwide.

INEC said the voter register will be displayed for claims and objections from July 23 to July 29 as part of efforts to ensure accuracy and credibility.

The commission urged Nigerians to participate in the exercise, assuring that all arrangements have been made for a smooth process.
