The Appeal Court in Lagos State has affirmed the judgment of the tribunal that confirmed the APC's Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat as the elected governor and the deputy governor of Lagos State.

The court, on Wednesday,  dismissed the suit filed by Abdulazeez Adediran, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), against the election of Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The court, in a unanimous decision delivered by a three-member panel led by Yargata Nimpar, dismissed the grounds of appeal raised by Adediran, popularly known as Jandor.

The judgement was delivered by Justice Yargata Nimpar, Justice Samuel Bola, and Justice Paul Bassey.

Recall that the tribunal had earlier upheld the victory of Sanwo-Olu as the elected governor of Lagos in the March 11 election.
