The Nigerian Bar Association has condemned activist Omoyele Sowore over a courtroom disruption at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
NBA President Afam Osigwe described the incident as a serious breach of judicial decorum.
According to him, Sowore entered the courtroom with a team carrying cameras and began addressing issues like a press briefing, despite his case not being listed.
The NBA said the action caused tension and led to a confrontation with Senior Advocate Musibau Adetunbi, who objected to the conduct.
The association stressed that courtrooms are meant for the administration of justice and not for media displays or political activity.
It added that while members of the public can attend proceedings, they must do so with respect for court rules and order.
The NBA called on court authorities to prevent a recurrence and maintain the dignity of judicial proceedings.
