The office of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has been unsealed by the sergeant-at-arms of the National Assembly.

The office, located in suite 2.05 of the Senate wing, had been under lock and key since her suspension from the red chamber on March 6, 2025.

In a video shared on Tuesday, Alabi Adedeji, deputy director of the sergeant-at-arms, was seen removing the red seal from the door.

“I, Alabi Adedeji, deputy director, sergeant-at-arms, hereby unseal the office. The office is hereby unsealed. Thank you,” he declared in the 25-second clip.

It remains unclear whether the senator has regained access to the National Assembly premises, as the Senate has yet to issue a resolution on her suspension.

On September 9, the assembly blocked Akpoti-Uduaghan from resuming duties, insisting the suspension remained a matter before the courts.

The senator was suspended for six months in March over alleged breaches of Senate standing rules. On July 4, a federal high court ruled that the suspension was excessive and unconstitutional, but the assembly management has maintained that her return requires a fresh resolution or a definitive court order.
