The African Democratic Congress is raising fresh concerns ahead of the 2027 elections.
The party is accusing Independent National Electoral Commission of moves it says could create confusion and disrupt the process.
Speaking on TV, ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi warned that asking voters to revalidate their voter cards close to the election could make participation more difficult.
He also alleged a wider political agenda, claiming there are attempts to weaken opposition parties ahead of the polls.
Despite the tension, Abdullahi says the ADC will go ahead with its congresses and convention as planned — with or without INEC’s presence.
He warned that any instability could threaten Nigeria’s democracy… and ultimately favour the ruling party.
