The All Progressives Congress has expressed shock and sorrow over the sudden death of its newly elected Assistant Publicity Secretary in Lagos State, Karamo Yesiro.
Yesiro reportedly passed away barely 24 hours after his re election at the Lagos State APC Congress held at Onikan Stadium.
In a statement, the party’s spokesman, Seye Oladejo, described the development as a painful and tragic loss.
He noted that the late party chieftain was expected to be inaugurated with the State Executive Council on Thursday.
Oladejo said Yesiro embodied dedication, loyalty and a strong belief in the ideals of the party.
He added that despite his short tenure, he left a lasting impression on colleagues and members.
The Lagos APC leadership and members extended condolences to his family, political associates, friends and supporters.
The party prayed for strength for the bereaved and eternal rest for the departed.
