Bill Gates has unveiled his ambitious plan to distribute nearly all of his estimated $200 billion fortune through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, aiming to tackle some of the world's most pressing issues.

By 2045, Gates intends to close the foundation's doors, marking a significant shift in his philanthropic strategy.

Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and renowned philanthropist, expressed a clear determination not to be remembered as someone who "died rich."

Instead, he envisions a legacy defined by transformative impacts on global health and poverty alleviation.

The Gates Foundation, established in 2000, has already invested over $100 billion in initiatives that have saved millions of lives, including vaccine development and disease eradication.

Accelerating the foundation's efforts, Gates plans to focus on three critical areas: ending preventable deaths of mothers and children, eradicating deadly infectious diseases, and lifting millions out of poverty.

His decision comes amid global challenges and cutbacks in international aid, but Gates remains optimistic about the potential of advancements in technology, such as artificial intelligence, to propel progress.
